Mark Hayden has been on both the agency and client sides of marketing, and has proven his ability to excel in every capacity, gaining a unique insight into the client's point of view. Before co-founding Parker:Hayden, he was Director of Marketing for eRealty.com, an online real estate start-up. Prior to that, he was Director of Strategic Services and an award-winning Senior Writer for The Adcetera Group. He held various positions with SYSCO Corporation, including Product Information Specialist and Product Manager. Mark was also a Copywriter for Anderson Marketing in San Antonio and at Winius-Brandon Advertising. Mark currently serves on the board of OnlyInHouston.org and has held board positions with the MIT Enterprise Forum of Texas and the Public Relations Society of America, Houston Chapter. He has also served as a Charter Advisory Board Member for the eMarketing Association. He is a member of AMA, AAF-Houston, AIGA and The One Club and Art Directors Club of Houston. Mark holds a B.A. in Advertising from Texas Tech University.

Don’t act like the dog who, holding a bone in his mouth, looks into the water and sees another dog with another bone. As soon as he opens his mouth to grab the other dog’s bone, he lost both.
The fact is, professional athletes, because of their talent, live under a different set of rules than regular working folks. It’s been that way all their lives. From the time they were playing Pop Warner ball, people treat you differently and give you undeserved privileges. That’s what makes them both an asset and liability.
You don’t want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don’t talk about at parties with your fat girlfriends, you want me on that sideline. You need me there.
